Close your eyes – and picture this.

A hot, sandy beach.

One of Canada’s most beautiful lakes within a throw, or, in this case, a serve.

And a bunch of volleyball nets.

Are you in the mood now?

It’s summer in the South Okanagan and time for another Osoyoos Beach Volleyball season to get underway.

The beach volleyball league kicks off another season June 17.

There will be volleyball action on Gyro Beach every Wednesday through until Aug. 26, with a final all-day tournament taking place on the beach Aug. 29.

There are still openings for teams of four, which must include one female.

Organizers will accept the first 20 teams, which will play two matches per evening.

A total of five volleyball courts will be set up on Gyro Beach.

The cost for teams to enter is $150, which includes the entire season of play, plus the year-end tournament.

Deadline to register is June 3.
