A beer, cider and wine tasting and judging event was held last Saturday at the newly opened The Lookout on the side of Anarchist Mountain. The event was organized by Destination Osoyoos in conjunction with the Osoyoos Oyster Festival. The Lookout is at the home of Rob and Kim Burk (second and third from left) and is intended as a private venue for outdoor events like wedding receptions, stag and stagette and other other social events. From left are Ken Beattie of the B.C. Craft Brewers Guild; Rob and Kin Burk; Andrew Morrison, editor of Scout Magazine in Vancouver; Warren Everton, of B.C. Tree Fruits and Okanagan Fest of Ale; and Chris Bjerrisgaard of Vancouver Craft Beer Week. Shown here they were sampling cider along with oysters. (Richard McGuire photo)
