For the last four years, the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive has helped restock the Oliver Food Bank’s shelves after a busy summer.

Approximately 550 people on a monthly basis are currently accessing the Oliver Food Bank. This is an increase over last year. Our community donated nearly 5500 pounds of non-perishable food to the Oliver Food Bank last year.

It would be wonderful to reach or surpass that total this year! Thank you to all of you who have donated in the past and to our community partners for their great support.

Our community partners this year are the Oliver Food Bank, Casorso and Company Chartered Professional Accountants, Sunridge Landscapes, Oliver/Osoyoos Sikh Temple, Specialty Kitchens and Countertops, Oliver Super-Valu, The Best of India restaurant, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints and Oliver Dental Care.

Food drive volunteers will be delivering food donation bags the week of September 14 to many Oliver homes for the 5th annual BC Thanksgiving Food Drive.

The donations in support of the Oliver Food Bank will be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 19. Those who don’t receive a bag can drop off non-perishable food donations at the Oliver Food Bank (6047 Station St.) between 10 am and 1 pm on collection day, September 19.
