
Telus has donated nearly $17,000 to the Frank Venables Theatre. Frank Venables Theatre received a boost on Tuesday, Sept. 9 when Telus donated $16,825 to the facility.
Local Telus manager Brian Wilman said the company donated $25 for each person who signed up for their “TV for Good” program. Since 2011, Telus has donated more than $700,000 to charitable projects, Wilman pointed out.
Joining the presentation on Tuesday was Glen Cairns, the new interim manager of Frank Venables Theatre. He was joined by theatre society chair Wendy Newman, Superintendent of Schools Bev Young, Telus’s Kyle Wildeman, Wilman, and Oliver council members Maureen Doerr, Dave Mattes and Mayor Ron Hovanes.
