The Oliver Fire Department (OFD) presented a cheque to the Knights of Columbus yesterday in the amount of $1,500 raised at last weekend’s 11th annual Drive-Thru Breakfast at the Oliver Firehall.
The Oliver Knights of Columbus expect to provide more than 220 hampers during the service group’s Christmas campaign this year, significantly more than the 10 families that received food in the first campaign 51 years ago.
The Knights of Columbus in Oliver expect to provide more than 200 hampers during its Christmas campaign this year. Coordinator Wayne Danbrook said the need continues to be high as evidenced by how busy the Oliver Food Bank is.
