Three more Osoyoos groups have received Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) funding in what amounts to the third round of grant giving, determined by the Grant Evaluation Committee.
Osoyoos has given out its second round of funding under the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Grant program based on recommendations by the Grant Evaluation Committee.
Representatives of many of the 26 community organizations that received grants from Osoyoos’ Community Services Grants program as well as the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Visitor Activity Enhancement Fund provided by the Province were on hand to collect their cheques during the regular council meeting of Jan. 28.
Osoyoos council awarded a total of $214,167 in grants to 26 community organizations in its annual exercise of disbursing grants from its own Community Services Grants program as well as the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Visitor Activity Enhancement Fund provided by the Province.
Every year the Town of Osoyoos hands out Community Service Grants to non-profit organizations and community groups who render services to town residents.
