Representatives of many of the 26 community organizations that received grants from Osoyoos’ Community Services Grants program as well as the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Visitor Activity Enhancement Fund provided by the Province were on hand to collect their cheques during the regular council meeting of Jan. 28. 

A total of $64,000 in grants was allocated in the first round with $1,700 remaining in the Community Service Grants pot and another $24,500 remaining in the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Visitor Activity Enhancement Fund from the original $100,000.

Applications for the second round of funding can be completed online at osoyoos.ca or by picking up an application at the Town Hall or Sonora Community Centre.

The applications will be assessed by Grant Evaluation Committee with recommendations presented to council for approval. The committee is made up of Gerald Davis, Director of Community Services, and three council members – Jim King, Johnny Cheong and Myers Bennett. 

Deadline to submit the application is February 7, 2025 at 4 p.m.
