Osoyoos mayor and council have issued a statement via e-news announcing the retirement of Rod Risling, from his position as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
After four years running Oliver’s administrative body, Wayne Anderson, Oliver’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is retiring at the end of June, having joined in May 2022.
There are still only questions surrounding the conflict of interest investigation being conducted by the Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) into CAO Bill Newell’s offering of a $60,000 contract to Sundog Solutions, which his daughter is founder and primary consultant.
“Water, water is a big one,” the town’s new chief administrator says thoughtfully as we sit down to discuss his role in stickhandling the issues Osoyoos is confronting.
“It’s a big issue, it’s going to be big money and so we really need to start moving on that now,” notes Rod Risling, Osoyoos Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
