The brown bear with the big sweet tooth strikes again.
This time it raided Annie Zandvliet’s freezer in Country Pines Mobile Home Park near Gallagher Lake. A few days before that it was a fridge in Deer Park Estates, where it ate a rum-flavoured Christmas cake.
Zandvliet said the bear took its claws and opened her deck freezer and devoured a bucket of ice cream.
“Boy, did he like that; he finished the whole thing,” she said.
Zandvliet said a conservation officer set a barrel trap for the bear in hopes to capture it.
Residents are reminded not to keep food sources outdoors, and to keep garbage containers secure.

After a belly full of ice cream, the bear saunters off.

Maybe a fine should be issued…someone should be responsible for the bears life. That bear has a name and has been around here for 7 years with NO problems. We live in bear country NOT the city.
