Members of the Sikh community in Oliver celebrated Vaisakhi on Sunday, April 13, when the flag pole at the Sikh Temple was re-dressed. Here, women dry the pole after giving it a thorough wash. Vaisakhi is one of the most important observances of the year for Sikhs. It commemorates the founding of the Khalsa Sikh community in 1699 by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
