With Halloween only a few days away, children in Osoyoos have several events to celebrate at.

The Osoyoos Credit Union is once again hosting its annual Trick or Treat Main Street.

From 2:30 to 5 p.m., participating Main Street businesses are inviting children to stop by for candy.

“Trick or Treat Main Street was created as a way of providing the children of Osoyoos with a fun and safe Halloween experience as well as bringing people into our Main Street businesses,” Osoyoos Credit Union CEO Greg Sol said. “It has quickly turned into an event that the entire community looks forward to.”

Later Oct. 31, the Osoyoos Elks and the Town of Osoyoos are hosting a Monster’s Ball from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sonora Community Centre.

The event features a pumpkin carving contest and haunted graveyard, as well as plenty of music, dancing, games and candy.

Entries in the pumpkin carving contest must be dropped off at the Sonora Community Centre by 1 p.m. on Oct. 31.
