When the Cantina in Nk’Mip RV Park reopens for the season, it will be under new management.

Spirit Ridge has announced that it is taking over the Mexican restaurant, previously operating as Spirit Beach Cantina, planned to open at the end of June.

When the previous tenant’s lease expired, Spirit Ridge decided to open the the facility under its own culinary team, the resort said.

Executive chef Murray McDonald, who joined Spirit Ridge in February, will oversee the Cantina’s menu of Mexican/Latin American influenced food and drinks.

The new cantina will undergo a rebrand and cosmetic renovation, Spirit Ridge said, and include a new partnership with local watersports provider, Wake Pilot, who will be offering watersport experiences, charters and a 2019 rental fleet.

“As part of our continued strategy to elevate the unique story worthy experiences for our guests, I am extremely excited to welcome Wakepilot watersports to our resort tea!” executive director and general manager Daniel Bibby said.

“Their reputation as the premium watersports provider in the South Okanagan, will be a perfect complement to the re-development of our waterfront cantina and beachfront at Spirit Ridge.”
