Team CanFly gave spectacular demonstrations of the sport of flyboarding on the weekend at Walnut Beach Resort.

We caught flyer Curtis Pangrass soaring over Osoyoos Lake on Saturday, propelled by powerful jets of water from the board at his feet in both daytime and night time demonstrations.

The event was organized by Travis Blacklin, proprietor of Canadian Jet Pack Adventures, who will have a concession at Walnut Beach Resort for the second summer in a row.

We talked to both Blacklin and Pangrass.

Pangrass will be going to China later this year to demonstrate his skills. He’s only been doing the sport for two years, but he’s certainly an expert now.

Blacklin says it’s easy for beginners to get started. Last year a 73-year-old woman tried it, he said, and she found the experience one of the most exhilarating experiences of her life.
