The Solco Creek fire east of Okanagan Falls is now classified as under control.
A fire information officer with the BC Wildfire Service reported the fire remains at 18.8 hectares in size. This means the fire has received sufficient suppression action to ensure no further spread. The fire is burning 27 kilometres northeast of Oliver.
“A final patrol will need to be done of the area before it can be classified as out, however, we are hoping to move it into that status by next week,” said information officer Kyla Fraser.
