There is stress, hardship and misery in this world today mixed with the conspiracy madness, populism run amok and the worst pandemic in 100 years.
Yet last week in our Oliver hospital I bore witness to the best in mankind. We were in the emergency for a necessary non- life threatening treatment.
During this visit a very sick person was brought into the emergency department. Quick as a wink a team of five surrounded this individual and with calm, professional and compassionate actions stabilized the patient. No TV drama, just the best that people can do to save another human being. I hope the patient continued to have a good outcome.
All of the personnel are to be congratulated for another job well done. Thank you to the entire system for giving us the care we need.
It can be frustrating these days but events like this give me hope for mankind. Thank you so much for everyone who is out there despite the dangers and who continue to do their best for all of us.
We owe all of you so much.
James B. McGinnigle, Oliver
