A couple of shoplifters in Oliver were nabbed by police on April 28.
The RCMP report that staff at the BC Liquor Store notified them about a female shoplifter who returned to steal another bottle. She was reportedly in the store two days prior with theft on her mind.
During their investigation, police located two females who were arrested across the street in another store.
Police say numerous stolen items from various Penticton stores were recovered including a quantity of meat and other food. One of the thieves was found in possession of the stolen liquor.
A 54-year-old female resident of Oliver and a 36-year-old female from West Kelowna were held in custody and released later with a court date of June 15.
The next night, Oliver RCMP conducted a curfew check on the 54-year-old woman who was not home contrary to her probation order. This information was forwarded to her probation officer for further charges.
