The Osoyoos senior boys Rattlers head into their home tournament this weekend following a respectable showing at a basketball tourney in Barriere this past weekend.
The Rattlers finished third in Barriere – beating Pemberton in their first game and Ashcroft in their last game, but losing to Prince George Secondary School (PGSS) in their second game.
Barriere Secondary School, the hosts, won the tournament, beating PGSS in the finals, said Casey Brouwer, Rattlers coach.
Rattler Kavneer Dhaliwal was selected as one of the tournament all-stars.
The Osoyoos Secondary School (OSS) senior boys team is currently ranked ninth in the province for single-A teams, said Brouwer.
The Desert Classic tournament takes place this Friday and Saturday in the gym at OSS.
The Rattlers play their first game at 1:30 p.m. on Friday against L.V. Rogers Secondary School from Nelson.
Eight teams are expected to participate in this weekend’s tournament.
