Sen Pok Chin school has won $25,000 in new technology as part of Staples “Superpower Your School” contest.
The school impressed contest organizers with efforts to reduce its ecological footprint, which resulted in a 90 per cent increase in recycling at the school.
The donation is part of a program that gives out $25,000 worth of much-needed technology to 10 schools across Canada annually.
Nearly 700 schools across Canada entered the Staples contest for their chance to win one of 10 $25,000 technology awards from Staples Canada.
Staples launched the contest to foster environmental consciousness and to respond to a real need for technology at Canadian schools. The program has recognized a total of 70 schools to date.
