The School Board of School District 53 is asking that parents of children who are turning five years old this year register for kindergarten by March 16.
“This will provide the school and district with information to plan for staffing and budgets to schools,” Chairperson Rob Zandee said in his board report.
As of Feb. 20, kindergarten registration for Osoyoos Elementary School was at 18 students.
Parents can register their children at their local school and must bring the child’s birth certificate and medical card with them.
