Once again this year, the Osoyoos Secondary School (OSS) grad class is holding Santa’s Night Out after the Christmas Lite-up parade.
The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 at the Sonona Community Centre and is open to everyone.
Santa’s Night Out is a fundraiser for the graduating class’ dry grad trip to Seattle, which will take place in June 2015, said Shannon Miller, OSS vice principal.
“It’s for the community to come out and do their Christmas shopping,” said Miller, adding that there will be vendors, a silent auction, entertainment, wine and an East Indian buffet provided by East Indian parents and students.
Admission to the event is $5 and the buffet is an additional $5, Miller said.
“It starts at 7 p.m. right after Lite-up so people can just walk over after the Christmas parade and do some Christmas shopping and enjoy a glass of wine and entertainment,” Miller said.
Most of the students from the graduating class will be in attendance and are looking forward to serving local residents at the event, said Miller.
Tickets are available from grad students, at the school and at the door.
