The gigantic tent at Gyro Beach was packed as the Rotary Club of Osoyoos held its popular fundraising event, Lobster on the Beach, last Saturday evening.

Make that very popular — tickets were grabbed up the moment they became available.

Guests dined on fresh lobsters — so fresh they were swimming in the Atlantic Ocean just two days earlier and were flown live from Halifax, said Dan Adam, of Joey’s Seafood in Penticton.

After dinner there was a live auction, followed by dancing.
