Dear Editor:
Two travelling partners, age 80 and 85, signed up for one month’s rental in one of Osoyoos’ hotel resorts.
Even though both have heart problems and don’t have a car, they were given an hour and 15 minutes to leave the hotel after receiving an eviction notice.
The 80-year-old man was here in October, where he looked at and booked rental accommodation for one month’s holiday stay.
He was never told the resort was pet friendly. There were no signs in the resort lobby or in the literature given about the resort being pet friendly.
We were guests for 20 days prior to being given the eviction notice on Feb. 3. The 80-year-old admits that he speaks his mind and maybe should have been called in by management to be warned to be less vocal.
The 80-year-old doesn’t like dogs in hotel resort lobbies or watching them do their business from our waterfront window on resort and lakefront property.
