An Oliver resident is giving the thumbs up to the Okanagan Correctional Centre for keeping its promise.
Don Smithyman (and his first wife) visited the Oliver Food Bank this morning to learn that the prison donated vegetables (cucumbers, for example) that the inmates had grown in their garden.
“Woo hoo! Mark one up for the ‘slammer’ and the gardeners,” Smithyman said.
