Oliver RCMP and the fire department continue to investigate two fires over the weekend.
On May 15 the fire department responded to an alarm call on Fairview Road at 4:18 a.m. Multiple reports came in about a vehicle on fire at Triangle Park beside the Subway parking lot.
As crews responded it was also reported that a fire broke out inside RemedyRx pharmacy just down the road. Crew’s attacked both fires simultaneously with two trucks.
Firefighters made quick work on the pharmacy fire, resulting in the damage kept to a minimum. The vehicle on fire was a complete loss.
The fire department believe both incidents were related and RCMP are investigating.
RCMP Sgt. Don Wrigglesworth said they are seeking any video evidence from neighbouring businesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the local detachment.
