About a dozen people gathered outside MP Alex Atamanenko’s office in Oliver Tuesday to protest the Conservative government’s cuts to health care.
The rally was part of a multi-city national day of action, drawing attention to the $36 billion in reductions in federal health care transfers to BC and other provinces.
The event in Oliver was attended by local physicians Dr. Alan Ruddiman and Dr. Peter Entwistle.
One of the concerns raised by rally participants is the privatization of health care in Canada.
