Osoyoos RCMP were kept busy on the July 1 Canada Day holiday with publicly intoxicated people, small amounts of marijuana and various disturbances.
In total, 10 people were arrested to spend the night in jail, including nine for being intoxicated in a public place and one for domestic assault.
Police also seized small quantities of marijuana after people were found to be openly using it in public.
Of the nine arrests for public intoxication, one male was also charged with obstruction and was issued an expulsion letter for causing a disturbance and obstructing police, the RCMP said.
The expulsion letter bans the person from entering any town beaches or facilities until the end of September.
One man was arrested for public intoxication after he was found intoxicated and lighting personal fireworks at Gyro Beach prior to the official town fireworks display.
