Osoyoos Elementary School students conducted a cleanup of litter in the streets near their school last Wednesday on Earth Day. The activity followed an assembly where Grade 1 students read poems about the environment and afterwards students planted a thundercloud plum tree. Pictured here, Helena Zakall and Calvin Eriksen put trash into a garbage bag held for them by Charlie Burton. Students wore gloves and were instructed not to pick up sharp or dangerous objects.
