The Town of Oliver has a new deputy finance officer.
On Monday, Chief Financial Officer Doug Leahy introduced Marcus Lebler, who is taking over for retiring deputy finance officer Heather Wilson.
Leahy said Lebler grew up in Penticton and graduated from Penticton Secondary School in 2003.
He served three years in the Canadian Armed Forces before graduating from Okanagan College with a bachelor degree in business administration.
Lebler worked with BDO chartered accountants and filled the position as deputy treasurer for the Village of Keremeos.
He currently lives in Willowbrook with his wife and two young children.
Leahy said he is looking forward to Lebler helping him crunch numbers for the Town.
Lebler said he is really grateful for the opportunity to work for Oliver.
“It’s a bit of a step up from Keremeos, but I’m Iooking forward to the challenge,” he said.
