A pair of Oliver Curling Club rinks won events at the Eastlink Combined Bonspiel, which took place this past weekend at the Eastlink Curling Centre.
A total of 20 men’s and 12 women’s rink took to the ice Friday afternoon, with only a few sticking around for Sunday’s semifinal and championships games.
On the men’s side, the Dale Dodge foursome, featuring Dave Arnold, Jeremy Knechtel and Dale Cory, captured the B Event after defeating the Old Codgers rink from Vernon and Kelowa by a score of 9-1 in the final.
Oliver’s Wanda Casorso and her foursome took the A Event final on the women’s side, beating the Walker foursome from Penticton 6-5 in the final. Also on the rink are Jenn Seminoff, Maria MacCarthy, Linda Schroeter and Cathy Thompson.
Chris Cottrill took the Men’s A Event final, and George Lee won the C Event.
