Oliver Osoyoos Search and Rescue (OOSAR) is holding an Open House this Saturday, Feb. 28, at their compound east of the Oliver Airport at 5868 Cessna St. from 1-3 p.m.
Explore their gear, meet the team, and see firsthand the skills the OOSAR members use to get the job done.
The Osoyoos Fire Rescue noted the significant role that Search and Rescue volunteers playing helping keep communities safe, often working alongside other first responders like police, fire departments and the ambulance service.

The OOSAR also recently honoured Mike Kirs for his dedication to the organization for 35 years. “This guy is who we rely on for all of our large equipment, amongst many other things he does.
“Thanks for your dedication and commitment to OOSAR, Mike!” the OOSAR wrote on their social media page.
