The Town of Oliver has hired Wayne Anderson as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He replaces Elma Hamming who has secured employment with the City of Penticton.
Ed Chow, Oliver’s chief administrative officer, said Anderson brings 24 years’ experience working directly for a municipality or consulting with local government clients. His most recent job was director of finance and IT with the City of Merritt.
Chow said Anderson’s skillset complements the necessary experience and knowledge of the accounting software utilized by the Town of Oliver.
Anderson said he enjoys the challenge of working with smaller municipalities with limited funds to deliver the same services and legislated reporting as much larger cities.
“I look forward to working with the talented leadership team to deliver council’s strategic priorities and the dedicated finance team that excels in service delivery to both our internal and external customers,” Anderson said.
