Through rain, sleet or snow, the Oliver Half Iron Triathlon must go on.
Today’s race had to contend with rain, but that didn’t stop the athletes or their supporters. Although it did stop Oliver Parks and Recreation’s Junior Triathlon that has been postponed until mid-June.
The Half Iron featured a 2 km, two-loop swim in the waters of Tucelnuit Lake. The 90 km bike course took athletes past many of the wineries in Canada’s Wine Capital, and the race finished with a two-loop 21 km run along the banks of the Okanagan River.
