A fire burning west of Green Lake Road near Okanagan Falls left Highway 97 closed for over three hours on Friday evening.
Crews with the Okanagan Falls fire department and BC Wildfire Service are battling the seven hectare blaze, believed to be human-caused.
Around 6:30 p.m., DriveBC announced that Highway 97 was closed to all traffic one kilometre north of Okanagan Falls due to the brush fire and no detours were initially available.
The highway reopened just before 9 p.m.
