
William (Bill) Francis GUENTHER
February 8, 1928 ~ February 8, 2021
On Monday, February 8, 2021, Mr. William (Bill) Francis
Guenther of Oliver passed away peacefully surrounded by
family at Mariposa Gardens in Osoyoos at the age of 93
years.
He was predeceased by his sister Annie Sawatzky; brother
John Guenther; brother Abe Guenter; sister Susie Teichroeb
and brother Henry Guenter.
Bill will be fondly remembered by his loving family
including wife Vera Guenther; daughter Debra Nehring
(Tim); son Neil Guenther (Gail); granddaughter Charmaine
Wise; grandson Jesse Vetterl; granddaughter Juliana Winsor
and granddaughter Katrina Monteith; great-grandchildren
Elijah Wise, Talia Wise, Levi Wise, Mattias Vetterl, Emelyn
Vetterl, Abbey Winsor, Isaiah Winsor, Josephine Monteith,
Isabelle Monteith and William Monteith as well as many
extended family and friends.
Over the years, Bill was self-employed as an electronics
technician (radios and tv’s), as a real estate agent, a farmer
and as a jack-of-all-trades. As a salesman he was awarded
into the Block Brothers Diamond Club.
He enjoyed numerous trips to the Hawaiian Islands, a trip to
the middle east including Israel, to Europe including going
from West Berlin to East Berlin and back again, a trip to
the Bahamas as well as a trip to South America, all with his
beloved Vera.
Bill was a long-standing Christian and Missionary Alliance
Church member. He enjoyed gospel singing and was a
member of the Alliance Church. Bill also volunteered with
the Gideons Society.
He had a life long interest in the workings of any machinery
and the repairs there of. Bill was also an avid reader of
spiritual publications and science fiction.
A special thank you to Dr. Steve Evans and the nursing staff
at SOGH for their care and compassion.
A private family graveside service was officiated by Pastor
Jeremy Cook at the Okanagan Falls Cemetery.
