Valorie Olga Watson
On the 23rd of December 2021, Valorie Watson’s eyes fluttered shut, she drew her last breath and she moved on from our world to the next.
Valorie was a courageous adventurer, from humble beginnings being born on a farm in rural Saskatchewan, she moved to Vancouver when she was just seventeen. From there Valorie went on a journey of self-discovery, leading to her adventuring across multiple continents on a bus from London to Kathmandu, participating in all life had to offer. After retiring from being an elementary school teacher with the Vancouver district school board for 29 years, Valorie moved to Osoyoos where she returned to her farming roots and started a beautiful garden to share with her many loved ones. When she wasn’t busy with her bountiful garden, Valorie spent many hours working with the BC NDP and the Osoyoos Seniors Centre.
Valorie is survived by her adoring family, her daughter Sherry, her grandchildren Marlysse and Keifer, and her dog Bijou.
Valorie lived a spectacular and full life, and wherever she is now, we are confident she is spreading as much wonder and joy there as she did here.
