Mrs. Shirley Louise Benson of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 74 years.

Shirley will be fondly remembered by her loving husband, Donald; her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents and 5 siblings.

She was born in Dawson Creek, B.C. and then moved to Alberta in 1958. In 1974, she married Donald Benson in Calgary. She ran Benchmark Goldsmith Jewellers in Calgary from 1972 to 1999. In 2002, they relocated to Osoyoos, B.C. She loved to be out in the garden and enjoyed being outdoors. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Okotoks Cemetery in Okotoks, Alberta. A Memorial Celebration Reception will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Osoyoos Legion. Donations are gratefully accepted for a charity on one’s choice.
