On Monday September 13, 2021, Shirley Alma Jean Watson of Oliver passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 77 years.

She will be fondly remembered by her loving son Thomas as well as many friends and extended family.

Shirley was born in Quebec, moved to Vancouver in the 1980’s before settling in Oliver in the 1990’s.

Her favourite thing in the world was taking care of her son Thomas which may have been making him a delicious meal or surprising him by taking him out for breakfast. She also took pride in teaching Thomas about finances and helped him out with his finances.

Shirley enjoyed traveling with the US being a popular destination whether it be Omak for the day or Disneyland. She also loved going to casinos, her cats and watching TV. Shirley liked to bake and going out to eat at restaurants. Sundays usually included an Osoyoos McDonald’s trip listening the Brown’s music on the way.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held outside at 12:00 pm, Thursday October 23, 2021 at the S.O.A.I.C.L. Fairview Building.
