Sharon Jean Geluch
Sharon was an only child born on December 3, 1946 in Burnaby, B.C., to Michael and Jean Geluch.
She passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023.
With the help, love and support of Lilian Ashley, she lived for several years in Princeton.
She made many friends there, became a member of the Baptist Church and was an avid supporter of A&W!
Her absolute passions were cheeseburgers, fries, coffee and cream filled donuts. Oh, how she loved them!
In summer of 2022, it was decided that Sharon would move to Bethesda House in Penticton to be closer to family, and allow her access to a recreational centre where she could enjoy swimming.
Sharon soon settled in and was embraced, loved and cared for by Matt Carley and his exceptional staff.
Sharon radiated love and kindness, she had a twinkle in her eye, and infectious laugh and a wicked sense of humour. She taught us so much about resilience and gratitude in the face of many life challenges.
May she rest in peace knowing that she and her “tail” will forever remain in our hearts.
Sharon leaves behind many loving cousins.
Special thanks to the staff of Penticton Regional Hospital for taking care of Sharon in recent weeks.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Princeton Community Living, or Bethesda House in Penticton.
A celebration of life for Sharon will be announced in the springtime.
