Ronald Allan Moore
September 3, 1959 – March 1, 2021
On Monday, March 1, 2021, Mr. Ronald Allan
Moore of Osoyoos passed away peacefully
surrounded by family after a long battle
with cancer at the age of 61 years. He was
predeceased by his parents John and Lucille
Moore and brothers Ervin and Elwin.
Ron will be fondly remembered by his loving wife
Tara; children Stacey (Shannon) Moore, Kristy
(Jamie) Moore, Brandi (Jeremy) Moore and
Taylor (Alysha) Moore; nine grandchildren; older sister Marlene (Dwayne);
youngest brother Larry (Lisa); many nieces, nephews and great friends.
Ron worked many different jobs over the years including an owner/operator
of Osoyoos Garbage Disposal and Ron’s Bobcat. He worked many years in the
oil industry, built many houses, did snow removal and ran heavy equipment.
He played on many baseball teams over the years and coached his own
hockey team. Ron was an outdoor enthusiast, loved nature, camping, fishing,
quading, moto-cross racing, hockey, baseball but his greatest love was being
with family, especially his grandchildren and time spent with many friends.
Ron had a kind heart, a great sense of humour and always put others needs
ahead of his own. Ron was always the life of the party, excelled in everything
he did. Couldn’t help not to make other people laugh, even if he tried. It
came naturally. Ron continuously turned those frowns upside down, it was a
gift he admired and cherished so deeply. Ron didn’t judge anybody, he always
gave everybody a chance and welcomed everyone with open arms.
His greatest accomplishment was being a father of four children. Growing
up, his children thought of him as a superhero, even grown up now they still
think of him as one. He was there for all their ups and downs and passed on
to them to enjoy every moment and to keep your head up through the good
and the bad. When any of his children, family, friends needed help, he would
drop everything and anything he was doing to go and help them instantly. No
matter what he was busy doing, they always came first.
Ron always reminded family not to forget their roots and where they come
from. He was very proud of all his children and his grandchildren, they truly
made him beam. Ron dedicates the song: “Roots” by the Reklaws to his
children and grandchildren.
Words from his grand babies:
