Roland D. MAURIER

(1938-2021)

On Family Day weekend while taking time to spread

a little random act of kindness to neighbours, our

father Roland Dennis Maurier (Rolly) suffered a

traumatic fall while shovelling walkways for others,

and peacefully slipped into eternity February 15th,

2021. In the shadow of loss, he leaves to mourn

his devoted loving wife Teresa of Oliver B.C. and

their children; Ronald Maurier (Houston, TX),

Dorine (John) Kielly (Edmonton), Corine (Glenn)

Ferguson-Brown (Edmonton), Maurine (Graham)

Torgerson, (Calgary), Dwayne (Sharron) Luscombe

(Edmonton), Lori (Frank) MacWhirter (Leduc).

Roland’s life was also blessed with joy of 12 grandchildren;

Tiffany (Kyle), Megan (Wesley), Amy, Cody

(Ashley), Jordan (Shae-Lyn), Brock, Carlee, Alexa,

Danika, Jaymie-Lynn (Connor), Travis & Nickolas

as well as three great-grand-sons; Ryland, Hollis

and Blake. Rolly’s memory is also cherished by his

five siblings: Lucienne Epp (Vernon), Rene (Anita)

Maurier (Legal), Claude (JoAnne) Maurier (Legal),

Madeleine Maurier (Dennis) (Kelowna), Laurent

(Roeli) Maurier (Nakusp). He was pre-deceased by

his parents Omer Maurier (2005) Simonne (Cloutier)

Maurier (2007) both of Legal, Alberta and son-in-law

Glenn Brown, (2018), Edmonton.

Given the current pandemic situation and number of

family and friends all wanting to gather in honour

of Rolly’s memory, the family wishes to note that

a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later

date when restrictions for gatherings end. For those
