On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Mr. Peter Francis Mitchell of Oliver passed away peacefully at Sunnybank Centre. He was 83 years old.

Peter was born on September 26, 1937 in Kent, England. He attended UBC and worked for BC Electric (now BC Hydro), Chrysler, Datsun at RD

Trucks, then called Mini Truck. In the late 1960’s he started the Northwest Racing Team and competed in road racing events at

Westwood Race Track as well as at other tracks throughout the Northwest and Alberta. Peter worked as a shop manager at Annacis Auto

Terminals from 1979 overseeing quality control until his retirement in the late 1990’s. After retirement, Peter moved to Oliver and was

very involved with the Royal Canadian Legion volunteering his time on many projects.

He loved gardening and his dogs. Always ready to lend a helping hand to those around him, he will be sorely missed.
