It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roman Pek, age 91 at Mariposa Gardens Osoyoos, BC.

Roman is predeceased by his loving wife Emma, his mother Ana, and father Joseph. He is survived by his sons Erwin (Tillie) and Roy; his sisters Regina and Czeslawa; grandchildren Nicole (Rocky), Michael (Alice), Shari (Craig), Stephen (Amanda) and Shannon; 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends who remember him with fondness and love and will be missed.

Roman was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1948 with his family and settled in Taber, Alberta where he met and married the love of his life Emma in 1954. They then moved to Osoyoos in 1963 to join the Hiller family and land of sunshine.

He was a carpenter by trade but was town handyman who could fix or repair anything. He loved the challenge.

A sincere thank you to the staff of Mariposa Gardens, McKinney Place and Dr. De Vries for the exceptional care he received and especially from friends and neighbors have cared and watched out for him while at home.

A celebration of life will be held for Roman and Emma jointly at 1:00 pm, Sunday, August 4th 2019 at 3209 Lobelia Drive, Osoyoos BC.
