On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Mrs. Maria (Mary) Stella Zammit of Oliver passed away peacefully at McKinney Place Extended Care at the age of 95 years.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Zammit; second husband, Theodore Rother; siblings, Tony Schembri, Joe Schembri, Charles Schembri and Victor Schembri and son, Paul Zammit.

Mary will be fondly remembered by her loving family including brother, Alfred (Dorothy); children, Joe (Hilda), Anna (John), Hector, Martha (Larry) and Ted; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren as well as many extended family and friends.

Mary immigrated to Canada in 1952 from Malta and settled in Ontario before moving to North Vancouver in 1972. In the mid 70’s she moved to Greenwood and worked cattle ranching until moving to Oliver sixteen years ago. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and was an amazing cook.

A memorial service was held at 3:00pm, Wednesday March 15, 2023 at the Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in the Summer 2023.
