Leonard (Len) Lewin Bruce

October 7, 1934 -
July 19, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leonard (Len) Bruce on July 19, 2022 surrounded by his family. Len was born in Vancouver on October 7, 1934. It was in Richmond where he met his loving wife Marion (Parker) and they were married in 1963 and had two beautiful daughters Kim and Kerrie.

He was an accomplished Draftsman working with BC Tel for many years. Len and Marion moved to Osoyoos in 1978 and was a successful business owner and entrepreneur of the Sahara Motel, the local Radio Shack and Osoyoos Auto Parts (formally DuMont’s Auto Parts). The couple enjoyed 25 years of traveling to Arizona where they had their second home at the OG RV Park in Yuma. Len loved to golf and did so from Osoyoos to Arizona to California and everywhere in between. He spent many hours and pleasantries working in his yard and garden and had lasting relationships with everyone he met.

Len is predeceased by his daughter Kerrie, his parents and his four brothers. He is survived by his wife Marion Bruce (nee Parker), daughter Kim Bruce, granddaughter Lenaya Rautenstrauch (Craig), nieces; Susan (Rod), Lisa (Ken), nephew; Dan (Shawn), family by choice; Teresa Butler and Greg Butler (Traci) and many other loved family members. Len will be greatly missed and never forgotten. His kind, caring and giving nature will be remembered by all of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Society.
