April 13, 1942 – April 19, 2021

 

On Monday, April 19, 2021, the angels took our mom,

Joyce Assailly to her resting place. Joyce passed away

peacefully at the age of 79 at McKinney Place.

She was predeceased by her mother Irene; son Michael;

grandson Damien and her loving husband Donald.

Joyce will be fondly remembered by her loving family

including brother Jimmy; sister Donna; her children,

Cheryl (Randy), Cindy (Todd), Mark (Brenda) and Dale

(Michelle). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren; 21

great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She will always be remembered and missed by so many friends and family.

Joyce worked in North Vancouver in housekeeping for many years until she met

Don, the love of her life. They then moved to Don’s hometown in Dauphin,

Manitoba where they were married and they would spend 42 years together. Joyce

worked for 25 years in housekeeping at the Dauphin Hospital until they retired and

moved to Oliver for the rest of their retirement. She will always be remembered for

all the jokes she told, she sure was good at remembering them all.

The family would like to thank all the great staff at McKinney Place for keeping our

mom comfortable for the short time she was there. You all made her feel so loved.
