In Loving Memory of Marjorie Scott
Mom left this world suddenly and quietly in the home she and Dad built on a mountain near Osoyoos. Mom was a serious competitor and an avid lover of cards, table games, billiards, skiing, swimming and tennis. Any time spent with Mom involved an activity to stimulate your mind or your body. After all that activity, Mom made sure you were well-fed; the food was always tasty, and always too much.
Mom loved Jesus and had a passion for serving the church wherever she lived. As children, we were in her Sunday school and then, her youth group. Mom went on to lead a ladies’ ministry, as well.
Mom’s latest passion was for hens, not for show, but for eggs! I don’t think she ever had more than ninety birds at one time, but she had two coops and a bowler trailer for a chick nursery. Between the birds, cats, dogs, visitors, family, church, swimming pool and a tennis court, we don’t know when she sat down!
Mom is with Jesus now; we miss her and look forward to being reunited in Heaven.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Columba Presbyterian Church in Vancouver.
