MADGE, Frederick

Phillip ‘Fred’, beloved

husband of Roswitha

‘Rose’ Madge of

Osoyoos, passed away at

South Okanagan General

Hospital in Oliver on

March 19, 2021 at the age of 77 years. He was

the loving father of Christopher (Darra-May)

and Paula, both of Dawson Creek, BC. Fred will

also be dearly missed by his three grandchildren,

Shelby, Nicholas, and Thomas. He will also

be lovingly remembered by his brother Rod

(Sharon) of Langley, BC. Sister Elaine Clark

of Gold River, BC, many cousins, nieces, and

nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

Fred was sadly predeceased by his parents Walter

and Phyllis Madge as well as his in-laws Gunter

and Inge Grunewald.

Fred was born in Oliver, BC in 1943. He spent

most of his growing up years in the Rock Creek

area. He married Rose Grunewald in 1972 and

they had two children: Chris and Paula. Fred

worked in the mining industry in various mines

around BC. He retired in 2000 and they moved to

Osoyoos in 2010. Fred loved travelling, watching

sports on TV, and listening to old country music.
