Ervin (Erv)Franks passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 25, 2022, in Osoyoos B.C. Erv is lovingly remembered by Joan, his wife of 62 years, daughter Joanne, daughter Sherry (Ken), grandsons Brock (Karly), Brett (Jennifer), daughter Barb, granddaughter Amanda (Troy), grandson Blake (Shaylyn), and great granddaughters Karter and Kendall.

Erv was born March 7, 1939, in Chilliwack B.C. Erv was the youngest of 5 children. He was predeceased by his brothers Ed, Fred, Art, and Rudolf.  

Erv met the love of his life Joan in 1956. Erv and Joan were high school sweethearts. They resided in Chilliwack with their three daughters until 1974, at which time life took them to Courtney where they purchased their first grocery store. In 1982, Erv and his family moved to Osoyoos, where they owned another grocery store until 1995. 

Erv enjoyed many vacations with his wife Joan to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Germany, and with his family to Mexico, Hawaii, and across Canada. Erv loved playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his friends and family. He was always spotted in the audience cheering on his grandkids sporting activities. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to the care givers for their kindness. The family would also like to thank all their extended family and friends for all their support during this difficult time. 

A private celebration will be held on a later date.
