On Friday, September 17, 2021, Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Jane Barry (nee Byer) passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Bud and Floyd.

Betty will be fondly remembered by her loving family including daughter Janet Lee Radies (Barry) of Oliver; grandson John Thomas Radies (Lindsay) and great- granddaughters Madyn and Brooke Radies of Castlegar; granddaughter Janel Joleen Radies RN (Ryan) of Kelowna; sister Vella McGechie of Drumheller as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Special appreciation extended to niece Shelley Doucette (nee Byer) who was very close and helpful to Betty and family.

Betty was self-employed, Owning, JanLynn Dress Shoppe in Oliver and worked at the Department of Highways in Kelowna, before retiring.

Over the years, Betty was very involved in her communities. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Royal Canadian Legion, and the ANAVET’s.

Betty loved socializing, meeting new people and playing the piano at singalongs, retirement homes and dances. She was an exceptional athlete, she loved bowling, curling and golfing and won many awards.
