
Doris Lorraine Peterson
Doris Lorraine Peterson of Osoyoos passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 29, 2020 at the South Okanagan General Hospital
at the age of 79 years.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, George and Mary Bywaters.
Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lyle Peterson of over 60 years; two children, Clarke (Cindy) Peterson and Kim Peterson; three grandchildren, Lyndsey Peterson, Brenda (Jordan) Turner and Matt Peterson; one great-grandchild Nixon Turner and five siblings,
Naomi Burness, Robert Bywaters, Reg (Jean) Bywaters, Marilyn McDougall, and Carol Jones.
She was born in Red Deer, Alberta on April 12, 1941 and grew up on the family farm in Pine Lake, Alberta Doris, with her husband Lyle owned and operated the Maple Leaf Motel in Oliver, BC and then owned and operated Brookside campsite in Cache Creek, BC until retirement.
She traveled to Australia with her mother and she and Lyle spent many winters RVing South where they met many new friends.
Doris Enjoyed curling, painting, crafts, RVing and spending time with her family.
